Long Range (TUE-4TH OF JULY): Period begins with several upper level disturbances coming from a western trough beginning to impact the natural state. As a result, increased rain chances will be seen across the natural state especially as we move towards the end of the week. Some isolated severe weather could be seen especially in southern AR where the instability and lift are better but widespread severe weather is not expected at this time. Temperatures will run a good 5-10 degrees below normal for the natural state but with the humidity in place, it will not be noticeable. Rain chances will continue even beyond this period as the ridge will have a hard time pushing westward. Scattered thunderstorms looks to currently throw a wrench in any potential 4th of July plans at this time, have increased rain chances especially in southern AR as a much stronger system looks to impact the state around this timeframe.
