LONG RANGE (SAT-TUE): Period begins with the powerhouse low pressure in the plains with the attendant warm/cold front pushing eastward. This will allow for the potential of severe weather on Saturday for most of Arkansas especially central & eastern AR based off of current guidance trends. As of now, have increased rain chances to 60% for Saturday. Timing, although has been all over the place over the last few days, have came into a much better agreement over the last 24 hours. This system will swing a cold front through the region Saturday night allowing for temps to fall into the 40s and 50s statewide. With southwest flow still in place, a new but weak storm system may bring rain chances to far southern AR on Monday but severe weather is currently not expected with that system. Outside of that, we look to go into a quiet weather pattern with temperatures near/above normal for this time of year.
