Cold front currently moving into the state. Showers and thunderstorms along it with some severe. This trend will continue through mid day Wednesday with most activity exiting the state by Wednesday night. Severe threat will be limited with the best dynamics to our north. Behind the front, temps will fall well below average with 60s for highs and 40s for lows becoming common with 50s south. Dry air will clear us out leading to sunny days and cool crisp nights
Generally a quiet period will be seen as surface high pressure moves into the region. Early in the period, moisture from Sergio will combine with a strong cold front to bring a round of rain and thunderstorms on Sunday. With cool air in place no severe weather is expected. Behind the front, even colder air will move in for early in the week under sunny skies. There is a small chance some areas could see their first frost next Tuesday morning across the north as well.
