The severe weather risk has not changed much since yesterday. The risk area is still SW Arkansas, NE Texas, and SE Oklahoma. Once again, the severe weather risk is small, but NON-zero. The main threats are gusty winds and large hail with any storm that manages to get its act together. IF they can. The tornado threat is considerably low due to absent crucial ingredients.
This is the severe threat for Monday, once again, small threat, but non-zero. The threat shifts into SE Arkansas, extreme eastern Texas, much of central Louisiana, and western Mississippi. The forecast timing is late afternoon/evening. The threats are mainly strong-damaging winds and large hail. The tornado threat remains low tomorrow. Neither of these events will be widespread, but a couple special weather statements and/or severe thunderstorm warnings can not be ruled out with any storm that manages to get going. Remember the social media communications blog, if it is safe to do so, try to report severe weather to help the National Weather Service. We will continue to update y'all to the latest information. Have a good Sunday! ~Michael
