Continue to take this with a grain of salt as things can and STILL will change. This is Friday morning.
That's about it for the weekend cool down, so mainly a one day one night kind of deal. Looking into the future, an even better cold front may be on the way. That will be discussed in "Cold air outlook #2" later next week or the week after. That is IF the front continues to be shown. These cold air outlooks will cover any potential big time cool down.
The last subject I was going to get into is the dry weather we've been having. The dry weather is likely to continue for the next 1-2 weeks, that can be really bad for fall colors as the leaves tend to fall faster with less rain. That typically doesn't give the leaves much time to change before they DO fall. Drought conditions have been developing and are likely to worsen due to the expected lack of rainfall. It is usually dry this time of year though, as the jet stream is far to the north. Later into October, the jet stream should shift south again meaning that we get storms and more consistent rainfall from storm systems. This will be a wait and see as there are still questions to how this evolves. As such, stick around for more weather updates (and likely cold air updates) in the future!
Thank you guys for reading and have a good rest of your Sunday!
